Uniform

Uniform/Dress Code Policy

At school, we value each student for who he/she is and not by how she/he looks or what is worn.  The School dress code policy requires students to be in uniform.  Not adhering to the school uniform policy is considered a violation of school rules and consequences will follow the procedural guidelines for behavior infractions.  Students are to be in uniform at all times, with the exception of special, pre-arranged events.

Students are not allowed to change into street clothes after school without permission.  Any combination of the items listed below may be worn.  Items that are not listed below may not be worn to school.
 

Boys

• Khaki uniform pants
• Khaki uniform shorts (no more than 2 inches above the knee)
• Solid white or navy shirts: oxford or polo  Royal blue or black for 7^th and 8^th grade (shirts must be tucked in at all times)
• White or navy sweatshirts, sweaters, crews,cardigans (plain or with SABIS^® logo only)
• Close-toed shoes
• If an undershirt is worn, it must be white or black.
   

Girls

• Khaki uniform jumper
• Khaki uniform shorts (no more than 2 inches above the knee)
• Solid white or navy shirts: oxford or polo. Royal blue and black for 7^th and 8^th graders (shirts must be tucked in at all times)
• White or navy sweatshirts, sweaters, crews, cardigans (plain or with SABIS^® logo only)
• Close-toed shoes
• If an undershirt is worn, it must be white or black.

  Polos, sweatshirts, or t-shirts with the SABIS^® logo may be worn any day.
 

The following uniform rules are to be observed on campus on all standard uniform dress days:

• Shirts must have a collar, be tucked in and may not contain writing.

• No hats/caps/sunglasses are to be worn in the building.
• Athletic clothes are not to be worn under the uniform.
   

The following items are NOT allowed (including on non-uniform days):

• Open toed, high heels, or high platform shoes
• Shoes with rollers in soles
• Tight pants -short shorts
   

Unacceptable Attire

• Body piercing (except for ears) including gauges.
• Tattoos
• Offensive,  inappropriate, or suggestive items (i.e. alcohol logos/messages, gang affiliated items)
