Welcome

Welcome

Welcome to the 2020-2021 Academic Year at SABIS® International School where learning never stops!

As School Director it is an honor and a privilege to work at a highly regarded institution that provides a high-quality education to a diverse population in the South Mountain Village. When you walk through our doors you will be greeted by caring staff members who are engaging our students to achieve their full potential.  We strive to prepare students for success in college through rigorous academic work in a safe and nurturing school environment.

At our kindergarten through eighth grade public charter school you will quickly see that our learning expectations are high and our focus is to equip students with a desire for lifelong learning.

As we enter almost twenty years in this community, we are excited to be building on a solid foundation.  We are proud to offer:

  • Full day Kindergarten classes

  • College-preparatory academic program

  • Art, music, computer, and physical education classes

  • Spanish classes from Kindergarten-8th Grade

  • A diverse school community with a positive behavior reinforcement system designed to strengthen ethical and civic values, to name a few.

I encourage you to peruse our website to find out more about our exceptional school and excellent programs.  I look forward to working with all of you in the year ahead. Together we can create an exceptional experience in the lives of our children!  Welcome to SIS!  Go Gladiators!

Working on behalf of children,

Ms. Angela D. West

SIS Director

Having been at SIS since the fall of 2004 I’ve had the privilege of witnessing tremendous success and growth throughout our prestigious campus.  As the Student Life Coordinator I’ve had the honor of working alongside a surplus of exceptional young adults who have fulfilled the dreams of their respective families by completing college and going on to make a positive impact in their community.  I’m excited to serve SIS as the Deputy Director and it is my hope to greatly increase parental involvement, thereby ensuring that we are working together to fulfill our mission of creating responsible, inspired, and empathetic citizens who will be well prepared for college and beyond.  Meg Wheatley states that, “There is no power for change greater than a community discovering what it cares about.”  I encourage all of our SIS Students and Families to keep an open line of communication with our school to let us know how we are doing and to share new ideas on how we can better serve our community.  Together we will make this our best year yet!
