SIS Remote Learning Update
Amazing SIS Families,
We hope you are doing well. We can’t tell you how much the staff at SABIS International School misses your children. Your child’s teachers are working hard to provide you resources and support.
Starting Monday, 4/20 we will begin online learning through Microsoft TEAMS. Students will need their login information in order to join their teachers online at the scheduled time for their classes. These classes will be recorded and readily available for those that may not be able to join at the scheduled time. Students can watch the online lesson at any time. In addition, the teachers will have “office hours” when your child can log in and chat with their teacher to ask questions about the online lessons.
Within SABIS Digital Platform you will find a remote learning usage agreement for you to review and a Microsoft Teams email opt out form. Copies of the forms are also being mailed to you. Please return ONLY if you do not want your student to have access to these resources.
We are happy that many of you have been accessing SABIS Digital Platform to obtain/view the academic packets. Families that cannot access SABIS Digital platform can email our IT Manager, Crystal Guzman, at firstname.lastname@example.org to receive assistance. We will continue to upload materials on SABIS Digital Platform.
We understand that some families do not have access to technology or may be unable to print the packets, so we will continue to provide printed packets every Wednesday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. To request a packet for your child call the Front Office and leave a message with your child’s name and grade level or email our Office Manager, Gina Fernandez, at email@example.com if you have not done so already.
We ask that only the parents that have made arrangements with the front office come to pick up packets. The work in these packets is the same work distributed through SABIS Digital Platform and Microsoft TEAMS, so there is no need to take a packet if you have access.
Furthermore, we urge anyone coming to school to maintain social distancing at all times and do not come on to the campus if you are sick or showing any COVID-19 symptoms.
Thank you all for your ongoing support, may you and your family be safe and healthy during this time!
